Off to Burnaby Hospital - whee!

OK, not really whee, but after this, hopefully my prescription will stabilise and I can get funky new glasses. That's whee, certainly.

OK, update on eyeball noise.

My surgery date is June 28 and it's at Burnaby Hospital. I'm taking the rest of that week off for recuperation. Blargh, but at least I'll be able to properly use both eyes once the healing's done.

And then? Prescription sunglasses for under $20! Regular prescription glasses for under $15! I should be this company's ( Read more... )

Eyeball issue: non-issue, really. It's a common thing that happens as a result of the laser treatment, and it's about a fifty-fifty split in patients, some who can see it and some who can't ( Read more... )

So, did the photos of inside my eye today. The right eye is apparently not as bad as the left one was, so I had actual options this time: surgery like last time, or an in-office laser treatment.

The laser treatment involves an injection of numbing, about a thousand tiny laser shots, an injection of medication after, and about six hours of talking ( Read more... )

Went to see Inglourious Basterds with The Mum on Thursday. It's good, don't let the critics' bitching keep you from seeing it. Brad Pitt is just wonderful with that accent, and the one Nazi is perfectly gleeful in his own skin, it's kind of an amazing performance.
